- Apply mascara from the base of your eyelashes. Many people apply it from the lash ends but applying from the base and touching up the ends, will give volume and look more natural.
- Apply foundation and concealer after eyeshadow. This means that you’ll cover up any excess shadow or glitter!
- Use a clear moisturising lip balm before your lip product, because some lipsticks are very drying. TIP: Leave the moisturiser for a few minutes so it sinks into your lips.
- Don’t be afraid to wear bold lip colours! If your face is looking a little drab, people’s eyes will be drawn to the lip colour. However, to make the shade lighter and more natural blend the lip colour out with your ring finger.
- To make your lips plumper before applying product, take a toothbrush and create small circles all over the lips with it.
- For nails: Invest in a dotting tool if you’re really into nail art, I just got a pack of 4 for £2.00! (Ps. that’s about $3.50!)
- If you’re younger and you’re wearing makeup to school, then make it really natural. TIP: A thin winged line of liquid eyeliner and a cream blush will help you keep a more natural look.
- TIP for newbies: Invest in a few makeup brushes, it makes blending products so much easier and when you start using them you really see the difference it makes.
- Apply your moisturiser when your skin is damp, this will help the moisture lock in.
- Instead of foundation use a ‘BB Cream’ they’re much lighter and give a more natural looking coverage on younger skin.
