Colour block Nails

Jenna Hipp inspired me to try out colourblock nails with her new nail wraps. Nails have definitely been a big part of 2012 and nail art will go even further in 2013! All you need for this look is two colours, one light and the other darker. I’ve chosen a polish by Essie and a polish by Rimmel called Metal Rush.
What to do:
  1. Prep your nails with a base coat - you don’t want stained nails.
  2. Now take one of the colours and simply paint your nails. Depending on what polish you’re using you may want 1 or 2 coats.
  3. Next take the other colour and scrape off the nail varnish so there’s a minimal amount of polish on the brush
  4. Start by drawing a diagonal line from the top of the nail to the side. You can do this by dabbing. Remember quality is all about being careful!
  5. With your line drawn, you can start colouring in. With a minimal amount of polish, colour in the small triangle that you’ve created!
  6. You’re done! To glam up your look you can add fake rhinestones/jewels in the straight line of the triangle you’ve made.
